New Post

I feel like I have so much to catch up on ..... it's a bit overwhelming I know!  I have from Easter on to blog about, and when I feel like I can have at least 30 minutes to sit down and blog, I am going to catch up.  I want to put up pictures and all, I have alot of things and memories that I want to remember, but probably have already forgotten since I haven't blogged about them yet:)  New post is coming soon, well, a new one that is more exciting than this new one!!!
Ah...But for today,  I gave the lesson today in our family relations class on Mother's and their roles.  It was a great great lesson for me to study and read.  It went well with alot of involvement and class discussion which always helps the time factor. Better go get the cookies out of the oven, we are going to a friends' bbq :)  FUN STUFF!

Mommy Brag

I have to say that I have some pretty amazing children.  Today, it's Mother's Day.  I sometimes can't believe I am a mother, let alone a mother of 2.  Some of the 2 cutesest little faces ever!
I don't really know the correct way to express my feelings about today.  Being a Mom was never hard for me to do/become.  I have been tremendously BLESSED beyond me even knowing, how lucky I am.  When I got pregnant with Kasen, we weren't even "trying".  My pregnancy was a breeze, my labor just as good.  I was blessed to have a healthy, strong, beautiful 8 lb 14 oz baby boy.   I have never been the same since.  I NEVER left Kasen, ever.  I remember the first time I left him longer than to run to the store, and with someone besides Tate, he was 8 months old, and I left him for 4 hours to go 4-wheeling with Tate and Brother and other family out to the sand dunes.  I remember I was going crazy, it was so WIERD not being with him, or having him attached to me (literaly:)  We have had that same relationship ever since.  He has been my rock, my little buddy, my little stinker, and my little angel boy.  For 3 years it was just him and Me (well, Tate too:)  But, I literally forget that he is my son, I am his MOTHER  and he isn't just my little friend that I was fortunate to meet somewhere along the way:)
Along came sweet little Daisha.  With her we had been "trying" for about 6 month before finding out we were pregnant.  During those 6 months, it was so hard, to find out once again we weren't pregnant.  How selfish of me, I find it hard to imagine women/mothers out there who are NOT as fortunate as I, who have to wait years, or forever before meeting their little angels. Trust me when I say, I am not ignorant, I do KNOW how incredibly blessed I am.  I will never forget the day we found out she was a girl.  Bev came with me, Tate was working, and I called and told him the news.  We were both very teary eyed and Excited!  Kasen, he knew all along.  Her pregnancy was yet again, easy, and the labor perfect.  I love holding her in my arms and still can't believe she is mine, forever!  She is growing too fast too.  She is moving and wiggly.  She wants to go, be held and have fun.  She absolutely adores her older brother and I can't say enough about what an amazing older brother Kasen is.  He is very very patient with her and me.
I know alot of people who view motherhood a little different than me...that's okay.  I love being able to stay HOME with my children, to watch their every move, to try and grasp this role that I am living.  I pray constantly that I will be able to teach them, and nurture them, and love them the way that I am meant to, the way that my Savior would have me do.  It's sometimes easier said than done:)  Thank goodness for the example of my mother who has shown me the way, who has shown me the way to raise a family.  She is THE most selfless, loving, caring, sacrificing person I know. And will probably EVER know.  She sacrificed her entire life, she dedicated all her energy and power to raising a family.  It's honestly a bit intimidating.  I WANT that so bad, I WANT to be that kind of person, but it's a little scary, to really focus all I am on my family.  Well, all said and done...I wouldn't HAVE IT ANY OTHER WAY!
I might add that Daisha is now 7 months old.  WHAT?  She has officially gotten her first tooth, and the other one is shortly behind it, coming in nicely.  She is a professional sitter, and getting more and more brave at movin around everyday. She has been sick, I am pretty sure for the past 3 - 4 weeks.  I think that we are getting over it, with the help of antibiotics.  It's nice to see the sweet and smiley girl back.  She loves to play peek a boo.  She likes to go for walks in the stroller and watch her brother.  She is growing her hair out, after losing all of the thick dark hair she was born with.  She loves grabbing my earrings.  She is still attached to her thumb, and loves cuddling with her blanky at night with her thumb.  And she is still just as spoiled and the center of attention at our home:)

Ahh....the life!
Let's NOT forget about the amazing man who made it all possible.  He sure has made this mother's Day a very nice and relaxing one.  He spoils me.  I love it.  Dinner, cleaning, and letting me BLOG to my hearts content!!!

Pics

I think that these two are VERY similar!!!

Sitting up so well. She sat in this chair for quite a while before tipping over!!  Good thing Daddy was Sort of watching to catch her:)
My Sweet Babies!!!

6 Months old

Daisha is officially 6 months old.  Where has the time gone?  I am not sure.
   Her wonderful stats:
Head:  I never remember her head....but it's catching up with the rest of her body in the 75%
Weight: 17.6  I think it was 70%
Height: 27 1/4 and still in the low 90%

She loves to jabber.  She gets shy, and puts her head down by her shoulder and tries to hide.  She doesn't have any teeth and I can't feel any really coming in any time soon.  By this time her brother had 2 nice big bottom teeth, so I thought that for sure she would be getting at least one:)  She rolls over very nicely.  She sits up like a pro.  She loves her high chair and the high chair toys.  And she loves her bouncer.  She gets going like crazy on that thing.  She loves to watch Kasen run around.  She loves her brother, but doesn't love her brother in her face all the time...she likes her space.  She likes to chew on her toes.  She still LOVES her little thumb.  She is still a pretty good sleeper.  Although, she was sick a while back and kept getting up a few times in the night time, and is still in that little habit, but it's getting better.  She loves food...I am hoping she will be abetter eater than Kasen!!  She loves her MOM:)  All her dark hair is completely GONE....it is replaced by a little bit of light light brown fuzz/whispy hair.  We are thouroughly enjoying her and are loving every minute of it!!!
Pictures to come soon....I am bad at pics lately...BOO!!!  No fun!!

Visitors

A while back my mom came and stayed with me.  It was the most wonderful 3 weeks ever.  She seriously is the most amazing person that I know.  I have always thought that my mom and I had a good relationship.  I have always loved my mom, and known she was a good person.  But until she came up I never really KNEW ANYTHING.  I got to see a side of my mom that I have never really seen.  She is such a FUN grandma.  She held and rocked Daisha...she sang songs and played hide and seek with Kasen and his friends.  She gave me advice on some issues that I was having that only a MOM could give.  She is so WISE.  She is hands DOWN the most selfless, loving, caring, giving person that I know, and probably will EVER know.  She has devoted her ENTIRE life to raising a family, to serving her husband and especially serving our Savior, Jesus Christ.  She has an unfailingly strong testimony of the Gospel of Jesus Christ.  My favorite thing about my mom is she is not shy, or timid when it comes to telling ANYONE that they aren't doing what is right, and there is NOT a day that goes by that I talk to her and she doesn't bear me her testimony.  I admire that woman more than she will EVER know.  And I know that daughters say this alot, but sincerely and honestly, if I can be the kind of woman that she is today, I KNOW I will make it to Heaven, and I won'thave any regrets.  She is, to put it simply, AMAZING.  She is so beautiful.  I couldn't be more grateful to my Mom.  I LOVE so much that she was here and I am missing her so much now, but I am so grateful to have gotten that opportunity to Really get to know my MOM.  She is my Best Friend.  My example. My ROck....I love you MOMMY!!!
She spoiled Daisha Rotten, that is what she did.  And I Loved EVERY Minute of it.
While she was here, she went out on the town with her sisters that live in Idaho. Claudia came down and picked her up and met Lillian in Pocatello.  I curled her hair, she got all dressed up for the night out.  It was so fun to see her with her sisters.  I think I lucked out with the BEST one:)  Although, I have to admit, her sisters are pretty great too:)  When she got back, at 10:30 none the less ( I was worried sick:)  Her and Aunt Claudia were laughing their little heads off at some silly thing that they had done.  Priceless!
Oh, don't worry that my sister Bev also came up for a week. I was in HEAVEN....I had a blast.  We went ot the Potatoe museum and played.  We toured the taxidermy shop, and the kiddos were scary scary bears.  Joslyn, Ethan and Kasen played outside, weather permitting, and had so much Fun.  Joslyn Cried when they left and that makes me so happy inside....evil i know, but i miss them so much and am so glad that they came and visited me.
Don't even get me started on this little cutie pie.  Kirsten is a little bossy head, and I love EVERY second I have with her.  She is at the cutest, funnest stage EVER.  Plus she just has this personality that just melts your heart!!  Plus, she loves her Aunt Jana!
OH my little MISS.  Just cause I love this Little Face more than life itself!  You are my little Angel darling!
