Blessing

ON December 19th we drove to Talmage and blessed our sweet little angel girl. We were able to have all but 1 family member on Tate's side make the blessing. I am not going to lie, I was a little sad about not having any members of my family be able to make it, but I know that's how it goes:) I know that especially my parents wished they could have but the Darn weather was TOO horrible to drive. I know they love us:)
A few things that I want to remember about the special blessing given to Daisha Dana...
Your dad blessed you to have a love of the scriptures, to study them and let them be your guide. To have a spirit of service. You have a large family that loves you very much with people all around you that want the best for you. To find a worthy man to take you to the temple when its time!

We love you sweet little girl.

Catch up #1...bloody finger

It seems like it is just too hard to post again since it's been forever since my last one. But I will try. I will start with Christmas I guess:) WE had a wonderful, wonderful Christmas filled with lots of love and gifts, especially the spirit of service and giving. We have been extremely blessed this past Christmas with amazing friends and secret Santas, that have kept us filled with the spirit and love of others, and kept us very humble. A little bit of a surprise.....3 days before Christmas I almost cut my finger off:) Yep, the 22nd, I was making treats for the neighbors and trying to get some hard candy out of the dish and using a long thin, bendy knife I sliced the pointer on my left hand. As we type its still very numb and wierd feeling. Before story goes as follows. I asked Tate if he would come in and slice the squares for me since I was having a rough time of doing it, he started and was being extremely careful. While cutting he says, "This is a good way to cut off your finger." I said, "Do you want me to hold the pan?" Tate, "Ya, I would rather you cut off your finger than me, you still have insurance." So we go on and he finishes cutting the treats into squares and leaves the kitchen. I then proceed to PRY the suckers out of the pan, and the last corner and the treats pop out while the knife slips and cuts me:) I grab my finger, run to the sink and don't dare look, while I am yelling at Tate. He runs in, and looks at my finger and says, Yep, lets go the ER. We call our amazing friend she runs over to take the kids, and we head to the Hospital. ON our way, I am being a spaz, it actually hurt pretty bad, but lets be honest, I was overreacting a bit:) He then tells me that he didn't really MEAN for me to cut off my finger, it was just a joke:) REALLY Funny Tate:) Anyway, we get there, they make me go to the ER, and I get 8 stitches. Last Sat, Tate took them out for me while we were in Colorado, he did a FANTASTIC job and now I just need my finger to heal and getting the feeling back, which probably will take a while, but it's starting to get a bit better!!! Ah, Merry Christmas:)

Time Flies...

When you're having FUN! Tate and I have been married for 5 wonderful years. He is everything to me...I wish I was good with words to express my love and feelings for him, I am not:) We have a wonderful life full of ups and downs, not sure what we're doin's, laughter and love. I am not sure what I would do without Him. He is my Rock. My best friend. I love living this life with him. He still makes me laugh, smile and roll my eyes from his silliness:) I am so glad to have many many more years to grow and learn from Tate. Love you Babe!!

Beauty and the Beast

The other night Kasen found his "monster" glasses. He just watched the show beauty and the beast and loves to chase people around with his beast glasses telling them that he is the masterpiece....ha ha ..i think that he put the beast as the master and then not sure what the piece comes from but put it together to make him the Masterpiece. He loves to crawl underneath the crib and be "locked" in and then makes Tate play the guard. Tate tells him that he is locked in forever and can never get out. Kasen acts like he is so sad and scared. He then says, "but I am a family of yours." Ha ha..he is a pretty good actor. He loves to pretend anything. Any new show he loves to reinact it and play it:) He is so fun, getting so old and smart.
And then there is my beauty. I just am loving to get to know this sweet little angel:) I love this little dress my friend Des made is for her. She looked so adorable and will be able to wear this as a shirt as she gets older:) Plus if we ever go to Hawaii, this is definately coming with us:)
Daisha is smiling all the time. I love it because she definately recognized me and gets very excited when I talk to her. She kicks her legs and wails her arms and tries to say something back but just can't quite get it out. she has found her little voice though and makes the sweetest little noises when we talk:)

Adventures

Well, long story...here goes....

After Thanksgiving I was just going to drive back to Idaho, all the sudden my tooth started hurting like crazy (wierd? I think not). So Tate flew down to Las Vegas, I picked him up and we headed on down to Yuma AZ where I have an Amazing endodontist cousin who fixes my teeth like magic. This has happened before if we can all remember:) Anyway, so after 5 hours in the dentist chair my tooth was fixed, we stayed and hung out for a day and then drove back to vegas. I was thinking we could have a fun little vacation while we were there. We went to the Leid museum and took Kasen. Another few things happened before this which made the trip ROTTEN, but I will post that later:) anyway the museum was fun. Then we decided to go to the NFR, that's right, Tate and I were able to go to the National Finals Rodeo and we had a BLAST. Aunt Liz watched our Kids:) THANKS SO MUCH AUNT LIZ. We are going to try dang hard to go again next year. IT was fun, even though Vegas is crazy. Here are the pics of the museum. I didn't get much at the rodeo. But here is Kasen, he is cute:)
ha ha..i guess that wasn't much of a long story, but I promise that it really is a long story:) Later!

A bit Curious

Even though this was a while ago I wanted to blog about it. Curious George just happened to be in Shelley Idaho a few weeks ago and so we of course had to go to his party that they were throwing him at the library:) It was fun. Kasen loves curious george books and his little shows. We played games and made crafts and ate bananas. When it was his turn to take a picture, he wasn't too excited. I am pretty sure that George freaked him out a little bit. We had fun.
