We made some sugar cookies the other day, being the horrible mother that I am I forgot all about a fun cookie party at a friends house so Tate promised Kasen that we would have our own. The only flour i had on hand was my wheat, so we emprovised and used that in our sugar cookie recipe and it worked out wonderfully. They tasted great and the kids had a good time making the cookies, even though the only cutters that we have are Christmas, that didn't seem to bother them one bit.
Tate working hard at making his cookies.
Working together.Enjoying the finished product. we had some really pretty green and pink cookies when it was all said and done.
Kasen is quite the little scientist. Every day he does some sort of "experiment". The ingredients usually change but the ones that always stay the same are vinegar and baking soda...hmmmm wonder why? :) This is one that we were looking at online, it says that if you mix 1/4 cup mountain dew and baking soda and shake it up then it will "GLOW". Well, ours didn't work very well, we tried twice and then decided that it didn't work. Tate then researched it and decided it was a hoax the whole time. Either way we have fun wondering what Kasen's next experiment will be. he likes to include in his ingredients are strips of paper, glitter, water, glue, peanut butter, chalk and the 2 usuals. Our not so cool glowing experiment. Boo
